Who doesn’t love chocolate?

The cacao bean requires particular growing conditions, meaning it only grows well in tropical or subtropical conditions. A company in Ecuador, XAG, has been using drones to survey and spray Cacao crops, to improve yields and make the chocolate taste even more delicious!

They operate under Ecuador’s civil aviation authority’s rules (DGAC), similar to Part 107 in the USA. They must remain below 400ft above ground level and keep their drones within line of sight. They also must register drones used for aerial work or commercial operations over a specific weight limit.
